Hi, I’m Keren, and I’m passionate about creating a safe and supportive space for healing and growth. Whether working with children, adults, or families, my goal is to walk alongside my clients with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for their unique journeys.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biblical Studies and a Master of Social Work, allowing me to integrate faith into therapy if desired. I believe in a holistic approach that honors both emotional and spiritual well-being, meeting clients where they are.
My specialty is Play Therapy, using body-based interventions like breathing techniques and Polyvagal Theory-informed strategies to promote healing. These approaches are adaptable for all ages. I’m also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a gentle yet highly effective therapy for trauma resolution. EMDR has been transformative for both children and adults, helping them process past wounds safely. Currently, I’m completing additional training and hours toward EMDR certification.
Much of my work has been shaped by my experience in community mental health, especially in perinatal and infant mental health—supporting children ages 0-5 and their parents. This led me to earn my Infant Mental Health Endorsement (IMH-E®). I’ve also worked closely with survivors of domestic violence, immigrant families, individuals working through challenges connected to adverse experiences as well as those who have navigated emotionally or spiritually unsafe settings.
My post-graduate training focuses on expressive arts and Synergetic Play Therapy, an approach that fosters self-regulation and healing through connection and safety. I aim to be a reflective mirror for my clients, helping them process their stories, regulate strong emotions, and step into their personal growth.
I work with both adults and children, strengthening parent-child relationships, building resilience, and supporting teens and adults navigating identity and self-worth. It’s an honor to help clients access their inner wisdom and strengths, supporting them where they are to where they want to be. In addition, I offer Qualified Supervision (QS) for Florida MSW registered interns.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me soaking in the beach, nature parks, spending time with my black Labrador, Luna, or listening to a good podcast and worship music.
